Thanks for the link to the Kendrick video. I haven’t seen this one yet.

Mike - another great read. I particularly love the list of odds and ends - more rabbit holes to get have fun in. One critique - or maybe it's just my misinterpretation of the fruit rich diet graph - but you say "As you can see, everyone ditched liver fat by the ten day mark." It looks to me as if there are two people whose liver fat went up from about day 2 - am I not reading it correctly?

Got Georgia Ede's book too (along with Gary Taubes' latest) - I once had a teleconference with her about health. She's an amazing woman and so very kind - another of Harvard's great mistakes since they let her go for treating students' depression with diet. Says more about Harvard (almost) than the Claudine Gay fiasco. Thanks also for the Malcolm Kendrick video - one which I hadn't seen. (And btw - he's had a rough few years - had to take the jabs if he wanted to continue taking care of his elderly patients so he did, developed prostate cancer and was treated for it - successfully, I believe - and is involved in a huge lawsuit, which of course is no fun. So his weight gain might be a result of all that and - I don't know - just put yourself in his shoes. He's truly a great guy.

Just a couple:

Thanks for the typo notification. All fixed, plus some others I found.

Yes, Malcolm has had some health issues, which, I hope, are behind him now. I haven't seen him since the talk I posted, which was in Feb last year.

Georgia is a terrific person. Harvard was dumb to lose her.

I'm beginning to dread the "Greetings from Dallas" opening. I live in Addison and have a business in McKinney but every time I see that opening, I'm tempted to troll through the Whole Foods in the area to see if I can get a selfie with the two of us on the bus tub buffet. :)

Your selfie dream is Thomas Sowell. I would say the Force is strong with this one. While I would abjure that you are my selfie dream, you are in the top three :)

While I'm at it, if you are visiting the Whole Foods I would suspect, there is a Central Market not far. That's worth a visit for their bus tub buffet and the bulk spices on the spice wall....

Funny.

The Whole Foods we shop in is in Addison (it's the one on Beltline just past the tollway). If you lurk near the bus tub buffet area long enough, I'll be there at some point. And I'll happily submit to a selfie.

We often shop at the Central Market at Northwest Hwy and Midway. I always run a check on the bus tub buffet there as well.

You sent me a link to the study regarding statins not decreasing mortality in women, but it wouldn't open.

If you could send it again, I'd appreciate it.

Sorry about that. Here is the link I just checked: https://doi.org/10.1111/jgs.16306

Here is the link for the full pdf, which your browser may or may not let you open: https://sci-hub.se/10.1111/jgs.16306

Do you have a link to any studies that show no benefit to women of any age taking statins?

So many interesting links! Gosh I don’t have time. Lol.

Nice Kendrick video, though bas sound quality. I wonder why is he obviously obese with lot of visceral fat if he knows so much about medicine. Something doesn’t fit

Malcolm has had some health issues as a consequence of having to take the jabs to keep his practice.

“But all these people had complete, total, 100 percent control over what they put in their mouths. They were overcome with worry about things they couldn’t control, but completely gave up control over something they had total control over.” You wrote this in The Arrow 156 doc, when writimg about Oprah. Its hard to be consistent when talking about foes and friends, but its the only way to be trusted. Otherwise you are just another storyteller

That’s too bad. It could’ve happened to me. Childer’s C&C exemption information saved me.

BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT. Whoever wins the next presidential election I hope they appoint you Health Minister. 😊

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm not sure I would accept an appointment as health minister if offered. Which, given my proclivities, would not happen.

Hi Doc - It appears that we've reached the stage of maximum malfeasance on the part of "Western" medical "officialdom". Nothing that is officially stated can be believed (which in a sick sort of way is comforting as one knows that the reverse is true).

Nothing whatever surprising about Harvard's dismissal of Edes; the "university" (so-called) is totally institutionally corrupt and bereft of any intellectual honesty.

Yet another week when you hit on the things I've been thinking about most, specifically NAFLD. I wrote to you a couple years ago to say how my AST and ALT have almost always been at the top of the scale, if not a bit higher than that. Then I went carnivore, and just 3 months in, I had the liver enzymes tested again and they were HALF what they were before (in other words, smack dab in the middle of the normal range).

In 2019, I had an MRI of my liver and it showed some hepatic steatosis, with some areas showing the fat fraction percentage at 30% fat and other areas at 8%. Not sure how horrible that is. My current doc now wants me to have an ultrasound (next week) to check on it again. She also wants me to have my cholesterol checked again because my LDL was high (133) last time. She said there are new studies *linking* high LDL with liver disease. Have you ever heard of this?

I WILL NOT TAKE A STATIN. I highly suspect Big Pharma just wants to sell more statin drugs so they're finding other maladies that are *linked* to high LDL. As you always say, correlation does not equal causation. And, my understanding is that the best predictor of cardiac risk is Triglycerides divided by HDL and anything under 2 is golden. Mine is 1.6. I don't need no stinkin' statin!

Excellent Arrow this week. The low carb/saturated fat/beef stuff I had learned quite some time ago from Bill Davis' Track Your Plaque website. I take it he's an amigo, if not a compadre. The liver segment was highly informative; the Europe neutral-to negative weight paradox very revealing; the bullet points towards the end a great way to quickly impart additional information across a wide variety of subjects. Doc, you have a real knack for sharing information without being pedantic. I learn so much with every Arrow. The one thing that remains incomprehensible to me: how does a guy, as busy as you seem to be, have the time to do all the research, distill and analyze, then pass it along in a (mostly) easy to understand format (similar to Childers). Yeah, I know, it's probably MD doing the heavy lifting! Kudos.

Fun fact, Dr Eades: Buffalo Wild Wings fries pretty much everything in beef fat (per their allergy doc). 20 plain wings with Tabasco, a tub of guacamole (sans chips) and a pile of celery to dip in the guac. That's my latest go-to! HAHA

I'd like to also nudge you again to tackle hypertension with your laser focus after you release the new Protein Power. :)

Interested in your thoughts on dry heat saunas - we are thinking of installing a 2 seater on our porch after reading some articles on the benefits. Have you ever looked into or used a sauna on a regular basis. Just wondering - thanks
