I appreciate that you pretty accurately describe Macgregor's views but I think you make a mistake in conflating the Communist Soviet Union of 1989 with Russia of 2023. In addition to the fact that Russia is no longer communistic, considerable change has happened during those thirty-four years, as should be expected. Germany in 1914 was different from Germany of 1948 as was Japan during that same period. When I was a kid in the late 1950's the label "Made in Japan" meant junk, cheaply made and shoddy which broke soon. By the 1980's Japanese goods were of the highest quality. The same can be said of Korea or Singapore or China.

To get a more balance and first view of Putin I once again suggest either reading or listening to Oliver Stone's series of interviews with Putin.

As for General Mark Hertling, you say he is at least as qualified as Macgregor. Yes and Tony Fauci was also well qualified. The question is not whether an expert is qualified but whether he is accurate, honest and objective. Hertling is a Three Star General which I take to mean expertise in political maneuvering , not military understanding. Evidence of that is in the Politico article he wrote called, "Putin's Attack on the U.S. is our Pearl Harbor- Make no mistake: Hacking the 2016 Election was an act of War" Anyone who writes crap like that is a political hack masquerading as a military expert.

I'll have to see whether my skepticism of Pony Tail Guy changes after I get a chance to view the video.

Does PP2 have an expected publishing date?

I just read the Politico piece by Hertling. You are right--he is a political hack. Mueller didn't find shit. They did indict the Russians, knowing full well they could never get them in court in the US. I figured it was a publicity stunt so folks would think Mueller et al were really on to something. Hertling makes it sound like Pearl Harbor. Here is the piece in case anyone else wants to read it: https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2018/07/16/putin-russia-trump-2016-pearl-harbor-219015/

Thanks for the heads up on this.

I've had Stone's interviews with Putin recommended many times. I just haven't gotten around to watching them yet. I'm sure Putin feels justified in what he's doing. I'm not arguing over who is right or who is just. I'm simply trying to figure out what the end result will be in an event over which I have absolutely no control.

Lemme know what you think of pony-tail guy.

PP 2.0 will be out this year--I just don't have a date yet.
